Abstract

With health literacy we mean the skill to obtain, process, and understand basic health information and services needed to make appropriate health decisions and to improve health care.
Libraries and librarians play an important role promoting health literacy and creating information tools that allow everybody to access certified and reliable information, written in a very clear language and easily comprehensible even by citizens without adequate health literacy.
