Abstract

This article presents the Olivetti factory libraries’ history, a fundamental step for the recovery and cataloguing activities of the Olivetti historical archive association library which retains part of its historical heritage. At the base of this reconstruction is the research work carried out on factory periodicals, which are a key source for understanding company life.

Olivetti libraries still represent an organizational and management model to which reference can be made, especially with a view to developing corporate welfare to support the worker community.
