First European overview on e-lending in public libraries

Abstract

This publication is the partial translation into Italian of the document First European overview οn e-lending in public libraries published by Eblida EGIL in June 2022. The report offers an overview of the digital lending service in nine European countries (Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Romania, and Spain) focusing on quantitative data, actors involved in service provision, library context, licensing models and digital literacy in the countries examined. The Eblida research program dedicated to digital lending in Europe is introduced in the methodological considerations.
