Abstract

The book La cultura è di tutti by Christian Greco and Paola Dubini offers a rich, multidisciplinary reflection on the public value of culture in Italy, affirming its role as both a fundamental right of citizenship and a shared collective good. Structured as a two-voice dialogue, the book advances a vision of culture as a participatory, inclusive, and evolving process, grounded in the rights enshrined in the Italian Constitution and in international frameworks—most notably the Faro Convention. Cultural accessibility is conceived in a broad, systemic sense: as meaningful participation in cultural life, the reduction of inequalities, and the shared responsibility for safeguarding heritage.
