Abstract

Thanks to the collaboration with the Altrosud Association, the Central national library of Rome has recently acquired the overall database of the archive of the Sound archives network of oral tradition music. It was thus possible to merge the archives of research conducted in the past in Abruzzo, Basilicata, Campania, Marche, Puglia and Umbria in a single and innovative database. This project is part of a wider policy of the Library of enhancement of popular culture and dialectal literature that has recently been implemented also in the acquisition of the most conspicuous part of the library of Tullio De Mauro, of the fund of the Roman poet Mario Dell'Arco and of the collection of volumes of dialect literature from the “Vincenzo Scarellino” documentation center.
