The paper explores the issue of using Wikimedia platforms as tools for the development of digital information literacy in the library, at school and at university, in light of the upgrades of the last three years. The analysis starts from the space reserved for Wikipedia in the Information literacy manifesto drafted by AIB (Italian Libraries Association) and in the PNSD (National plan for digital school), it continues with a series of references to the two white books promoted by The Wikipedia Library (Wikimedia Foundation) and IFLA and presented on the occasion of the “World Library and Information Conference 2016”, it ends with the report of some good practices conducted in Italian libraries in an educational context. Ultimately, it emerges the opportunity to design actions capable of developing digital citizenship practices in an increasingly complex information ecosystem.Downloads
