Abstract

The article reports the speech given by the author as part of the seminar “Lights and shadows of the semantic web” (January 21, 2022), during which the Manifesto sul web semantico (Semantic Web Manifesto) was presented by the Cataloguing, Indexing, Linked Open Data and Semantic Web Study Group of the Italian Libraries Association (AIB). Interconnection, interoperability, access and data quality are the pillars on which the semantic web must rest, without fearing to question principles and references that, at this point, are considered stable and consolidated.
