Abstract

The article is about two current experiences in theterritoryofFondazionePer leggere – Biblioteche sud ovest Milano. The main goal of  the first project, entitled Gaming@yourlibrary, is to relaunch the image of the video game and his artistic-educational potentialities through the qualifying and supervised network of the libraries. Within the project named Libri senza carta libraries implement processes of learning, permanent training and promotion of the digital tools for reading and in general they aim for a conscious management of the information transmitted on social media. The paths imply a strict investment mainly on new generations and at the same time it is of fundamental importance to stimulate the adults to realise that a conscious use or abuse of the new mass media technologies by children and teenagers really depends on their ability to educate and transmit cultural tools.
