Giovanni Solimine and the time of the library

Abstract

Seventeen years apart, this text proposes a re-reading of Giovanni Solimine’s book, La biblioteca e il suo tempo: scritti di storia della biblioteca, published by Vecchiarelli in 2004. The eight essays collected in the book provide, in fact, very significant contributions in at least two areas: the study of important events and figures in Library History in the modern and contemporary age; the definition of the relationship between LIS and its history.
